Audrey Mischa Kirk, AMFT
I believe that the work we do in therapy involves bringing aspects of our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships—from how we relate to ourselves and others to how we move through the world—from the darkness of the unconscious into the light of our consciousness. This awareness allows us to closely examine patterns that may have been essential for survival in the past but may now be hindering our growth.
With dual licenses in clinical counseling and marriage and family therapy, my background as a yoga instructor, psychotherapist, and breathwork facilitator has opened doors for me to work with NFL athletes and other competitive professionals. I’ve also led corporate retreats focused on optimizing performance and helping individuals and teams overcome blocks to achieve their full potential. I have successfully worked with teens, families, and adults to help them break through the barriers holding them back.
My unique approach draws from both the mindfulness traditions of the East and the psychotherapeutic approaches of the West. Currently, I work with teens, couples, families, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, career or life changes, and postpartum struggles. I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as a variety of experiential therapies.
